People Matter.  Life Is Precious.  Make Someone’s Life Better.

Using the ministry of Jesus Christ as our model, Baptist Life Communities (BLC) provides quality of life options to assist                                                          adults 55+ to remain active by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Founded in 1952
, Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, KY was BLC’s first senior living community and home to one of the most scenic panoramic views of Newport and Cincinnati.  BCC provided skilled short term care and long term care.  In 1995, we expanded our services to include Personal Care known as the Arbor.

Also in 1995, came the Long House in Erlanger, a part of BLC’s growing senior living community.  It houses 48 beautifully decorated apartments that promote independence for seniors.

A few years later in 1998, the Munro House was established.  This adds to the independent living concept and BLC understands the need for a subsidized market for seniors.  The Munro House campus currently consists of 58 one-bedroom apartments that include a shared grand dining room with the Long House.

BLC decided to add a type of senior living option that focuses on maintenance free living in 1999Timber Woods
(formally known as The Commons), a retirement community that allows seniors to have all the advantages of living independently in a condo-style dwelling but not have the upkeep cost of owning a home.  It’s a value added return on investment.

In 1999 the Village Care Center campus was completed.  It consists of a 100 bed long-term care facility.  This allows for senior adults to participate in short-term rehab stays utilizing the expertise of our professional nurses and therapists.  It’s a home-like friendly atmosphere which allows BLC to serve in Kenton County and throughout Northern Kentucky.

In 2000, BLC expanded into the Covington, KY area with Baptist Towers.  Situated between Covington and Ft. Wright, BLC added independent living with services – Personal Care, Adult Day Care, a staffing agency and Baptist Home Health –this was definitely a busy year but was another way BLC served the seniors of Northern Kentucky.

BLC’s next investment in seniors was to expand into Boone County in 2001 and developed another maintenance free living in rural Burlington called Griesser Farm.  It consists of 12 units of condo-style living on a farm setting and provides privacy for senior adults wanting to live near the city with a country feel.

Dream to Reality in 2018!  BLC replaced the 66 year old building known as Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport with a brand new, state-of-the-art facility known as The Seasons@Alexandria.  It is centered in Alexandria, KY between Highway 27 and the AA Highway.  It offers various levels of care such as Personal Care Apartments, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, Skilled Short Term Rehab and Outpatient Rehab/Therapy.

BLC has been serving Northern Kentucky since 1952
and we are blessed to have you a part of our continuing journey!
